Literary Gumbo is all about offering a hodge podge of selections from the reading world. There are so many great books to be read but out staff cannot read all of them. However we know that there are book readers galore who want to share their reviews on the books they read. We are now accepting reviews from the Literary Gumbo audience.
General Submission Guidelines for Book Reviews are as follows:
- Submissions must be between 250 and 400 words
- Please check for grammar and spelling (note that minor editing may be done to your posts)
- We accept books reviews for all genres except for New Age, erotica, and anything anti-God (we are a Christian based). We reserve the right to refuse book reviews that do not fit into our genre list.
- You are welcome to submit as many reviews as you want.
- We will accept or reject your article within 7 days via email.
- Be sure to include a 100 word bio with your URL and picture (Only add URL if applicable and image is optional).
While there is no right or wrong way to write a book review there a few aspects that can help you to write a good review. Read this article for more information on how to write a book review.
*Please note that Literary Gumbo does not pay for book reviews but we do give you a bio option.
